Board Member/Trustee

Macrobert Arts Centre is seeking three new voluntary Board Members to join our dynamic and committed team of Trustees.

Join the Board of Macrobert Arts Centre and play your part in the future of arts in Scotland.

Are you passionate about theatre, film, dance, or visual arts?

Do you believe in the power of creativity to inspire, connect, and transform communities?

If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Macrobert Arts Centre is seeking three new voluntary Board Members to join our dynamic and committed team of Trustees. As one of Scotland’s leading arts organisations and an independent charity, Macrobert presents a vibrant, year-round programme of live performance, cinema, classes, creative learning and outreach projects. From our unique base at the University of Stirling, we reach audiences across Stirling, Falkirk, Clackmannanshire and the wider Forth Valley.

This is an exciting time to get involved. As a Board Member, you’ll contribute your ideas, skills, and passion to help guide the long-term vision and strategic development of the organisation. While your legal duties as a Trustee include governance and oversight, you’ll also be a vital creative partner - helping shape the future of the arts in our region. We welcome a wide range of perspectives and professional backgrounds - whether you're experienced in the arts or bring transferable skills from other fields.

No previous Board experience? No problem. A full induction and support will be provided. What matters most is your commitment to the arts and to enriching life in our communities.

Our Board meets quarterly on weekdays (four times a year), with occasional additional involvement depending on your interests and availability.

If you’re curious, committed, and want to make a real impact - we’d love to hear from you.

To express your interest, please email Ed Robson, Artistic Director/CEO of Macrobert Arts Centre: ed.robson@macrobertartscentre.org

Include your contact details and a few lines about why you're interested in joining the Board.
