Panto Young Cast

Every year Macrobert holds auditions for young people to join the cast of our Christmas pantomime.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly skilled creative team who will prepare our young cast for going on stage with a professional company.
Rehearsals and performances require a high level of commitment, but you will be amazed at what you will gain from the experience.

Weans in the Wood 2025 

We’re thrilled to announce that applications are now open for young people wishing to audition for this year’s Macrobert Arts Centre pantomime, Weans in the Wood. 

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to perform on stage alongside a professional company and work with a highly experienced creative team. We're looking for enthusiastic young performers aged 10–17 (as of 1st August 2025) who love singing, dancing, and acting. 

📝 Deadline to register is Sunday 18th May 2025 at 5pm. 
🕔 Audition times will be confirmed by Monday 19th May 2025. 

📅 Auditions will take place on Sunday 25th May 2025 (provisional date), and you will be scheduled into a 90-minute session. 
📍 Location: Macrobert Arts Centre

Successful applicants will be invited to audition to join an intensive and rewarding rehearsal and performance programme running from August to December 2025, culminating in around 26 live shows. A participation fee of £200 (payable in instalments) applies, and limited bursaries are available to ensure everyone has access to this opportunity.
