3000 Lesbians Go To York tells the extraordinary true story of how a trans lesbian bookseller transformed York into the UK’s unlikely capital of lesbian culture. From 1998 to 2008, the York Lesbian Arts Festival brought thousands together for a decade of books, music, dancing and community, with icons like Val McDermid, Sarah Waters, Jackie Kay and Horse.
