Sat, 18th October, 6pm120 mins

Description
Remembered words and everyday items from unfinished knitting to left-behind boots take on new meaning in Matthew Keeley's debut poetry collection, From the Juniper Room, published by Drunk Muse Press. The book, written following the death of the poet's mother, explores bereavement, memory, and change, and includes poems that are both deeply personal to the poet yet recognisable to anyone who has experienced loss.

Stirling-born Matthew Keeley, who now lives in London where he works in TV development, is launching the collection here at the Macrobert Arts Centre where, aptly, his mother spent much time during her years as a mature student at the University of Stirling. Join Matthew for readings from the collection, stories celebrating their inception, and guest poet recitations.

Drinks and signed copies of the collection will be available.

Ticket holders are invited from 5.45pm to get a drink from the kiosk. The event will start in Workhouse at 6pm and run until 8pm at the latest.
