Once upon a time, in a far, far, far-away land – even further than the Falkirk Wheel – was a town named Stirling Stella. 

A town where the recession never ended, the high street is held together by charity shops and optimism is strictly seasonal.

Bunty Buntock is just trying to keep it all together while worrying about her two daughters, Belle and Adele. Belle has had enough of men – especially her thigh-slapping, protein-shaking, red-flag-waving ex, Gaston.

All Belle wants is a quiet Christmas and a man who’s read at least one book. Neither seems likely when Gaston just doesn’t know when to take a hint, the rent’s three months overdue and her mum has gone missing somewhere between Bridge of Allan and a four-poster bed covered in M&Ms.

Sister Adele, meanwhile, is absolutely fine. Totally fine. She’s just going to keep herself busy until someone finally notices how brilliant she is.

And spare a thought for the once pretty-boy Prince – cursed, cancelled and confined to the draughty halls of his forty-bedroomed mansion, Wiggerton. A former heart-throb turned misunderstood recluse, he’s gone full folklore nightmare. But behind the fangs and fur lies a man who just wants to be loved again - and maybe even share his library with someone who enjoys the same stories.

Who could have guessed that a stolen rose - and a mother who really should have asked before picking the flowers - would change all their lives forever?

Our relaxed events have been developed in consultation with our audiences, industry experts and visiting companies to make productions and events more accessible to audiences who are usually excluded from cultural spaces. Relaxed events are programmed to ensure everyone is able to access and benefit from engaging with live performance and feel welcome in our venue. People with Autism Spectrum Conditions and other neurodivergent conditions such as Tourette’s Syndrome or ADHD, those with a learning disability, those bringing children to the theatre, and people with Dementia or Alzheimer’s may benefit from a relaxed event.

You can expect:

• Relaxed approach to noise and movement in the auditorium
• Friendly staff available to help make your visit easy and enjoyable
• Sensory packs (including ear defenders) available from the Box Office
• Auditorium doors remain open throughout the performance
• Characters introduced on stage at the start of the performance
