Sailm nan Daoine is the newest film by Jack Archer, made in collaboration with the films lead character, Rob MacNeacail. Spoken part in English, part in Gaelic, the film is a fresh take on an old tradition: musician Rob embarks on a road trip across Scotland and Ireland to explore the tradition of Gaelic psalm singing. It’s entertaining and heart-warming film about the power of community, family and the resilience needed to keep a language alive.
Following this screening, we will be joined by director Jack Archer for a special Q&A.
