Ted's practice engages with climate change, biodiversity, place and the cultural narratives driving our twin existential emergencies — with the role of arts and photography in responding to them. Based in Galloway, Ted is drawn to immersive, low-impact projects and place-based explorations of environmental and social relevance, delivered through research, engagement, and collaborative, audience specific outcomes. Through his work he aims to start conversations, shift behaviors, and influence policy. Photography — traditional, abstract, and alternative — sits at the core of his practice, increasingly augmented by multi-sensory approaches, AV, mapping, illustration, and accompanying words.
